Paralympic gold medalist Emma Wiggs has secured the 12th world title of her career at the ICF Paracanoe World Championships in Szeged, Hungary.
Dominating the women’s VL2 for over a decade as part of a gold-plated career, this win takes her to a total of 16 international medals. Since making her Paralympic debut in 2016, where she claimed gold in the KL2 event, Wiggs has consistently raised the bar.
Claiming gold medals at the 2016 and 2020 Paralympics, the British paddler's dominance is further highlighted by her streak of world championship golds, dating back to the 2013 World Championships in Germany.
Previous accomplishments include gold medals at the 2016 and 2020 Paralympics, as well as gold medals in the Paracanoe World Championships stretching back to the 2013 World Championships in Germany.
With the Paris 2024 Paralympics on the horizon, Wiggs is showing no signs of slowing down, as she uses newly-designed, cutting-edge equipment to power her next Paralympic performance.
